7.22.12 this week's recap, Lukie

Happy Sunday folks. I've got a few events to catch up on but I'll be doing that later. My body feels like it wants to go in slow motion today so I think I will go enjoy a nice Sunday nap after this. This week has been bizay. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday the 24 hour flu made the rounds, starting with Lukie and ending with me. Luckily it skipped Landino. The rest of the week was pretty fun. We went to Cowabunga for Izzy's birthday. The rest of the week was filled with going to the carni, the parade, watching fireworks and seeing batman. I didn't make the parade because one of my old friends asked if I would take pictures of her getting married on a mountain peak. It was AWESOME to say the least. And while hiking to this peak I made the discovery of how out of shape I really am. That's always exciting.

So my baby will be 2 in a little over two weeks! Crazy. Words can't describe what this little man means to me. Lukie is my little fireball. Here are some fun facts about him.
Favorite word: Bronco
Favorite foods: ketchup. Instead of calling it ketchup he imitates the sound ketchup makes as its coming out of the bottle. And rikles (popsicles) are another favorite. Very healthy foods.
Favorite family member: Gunner. Daddy runs a close second.
Favorite activities: watching tractor videos on youtube, playing with the hose, making mudd, and swinging on the swings with Linc.
Loves: trucks, tractors, his blankie and stuffed turtle. After I put him in his crib to go to sleep he always laughs and pulls his blanket over him. I do the same thing when I go to bed. Going to bed just feels so good sometimes.
My Lukie boy.

7.15.12 cool down, Landon's labors

Hello, hello! Another week of the summer just flew by and it was a goodie. Bunco, girls night, sushi, deer creek, Spider man where a few of this weeks high lights. Most afternoons are spent with the kids in some activity allowing their energy run wild. When these kiddos get together they usually end up shedding their clothes and turning on the water for a nice cool down. Beware: below you will see under pants, cheeks, and the saggiest diaper you have ever seen.
Notice how Lukie goes one way and his diaper goes another. It's an art he's learned to master.
Lukie had the best wipe outs. He's little body would just zip down the slide.
Our first fruits of Landon's labor! The zucchini is starting to grow like crazy and we've been eating it up. I can't wait for the tomatoes. Home grown goodness is the very best.

7.08.12 Cousins, rain

These kiddos sure love to play with each other.
Side note: I love these two crazies. a lot.
The kids (and myself) enjoyed that nice break from the summer heat last week when it rained. Lukie was especially enthusiastic about it.

7.07.12 4th of July

Behold our 4th of July festivities.

The morning: I let the boys have popsicles at 9:30 in the morning in celebration of America's birthday.
Mid morning: We head up to the Grandparents. Heidi and I take the kids on an "adventure" up the creek bed. We both agreed, once it was over, that we were never doing that again. It sounded like a better idea then it really was.
After our traitorous hike we finally make it to our prize...the "waterfall".
I was smart and wore the perfect attire for this activity.
The kids treasures from our adventure.
Sawyer received an injury. Dr. Grandma cleans him up.
Afternoon: Hil and I went shopping for a few hours. I got some new sun glasses and drapes. We are taking the boys blinds down in their room and replacing them with said new drapes. Hooray for no more ghetto looking blinds!

Evening: We have a BBQ at the Decker's, small neighborhood fireworks, and then we take the older kidletts to watch the big fireworks at Thanksgiving Point.
