8.29.12 that just happened

Today I was feeling the craving.  I needed a pepsi.  So when Landon came home from work I ran over Thrifty C to get what I had been in need of.  I went inside grabbed my self a 32 oz cup and filled it full of their wonderful ice with pepsi to follow, added a york peppermint patty to my order and I was on my way.  As I was walking to my car I hear a "meep meep".  I look up and see two young dudes in a piece of crap fine looking car.  The passenger (in a backwards hat and white sun glasses mind you) then proceeds to nod his head and wave at me.  That's right people, believe it.  I got honked at.  Now granted we were just far enough away that they couldn't see my out of shape bootie and deflated mom boobies but who cares.  I laughed all the way back to my house.  And so I say thank you, to you young highschoolians, wherever you may be.  You made my day.

8.24.12 day of yard work, fight with a bee

Today was a day of yard work. Landino has worked so hard to finish up our pathway and it is looking beeeeautiful. So to continue on with the beautiness we decided to buy some poopie dirt so that our flower beds may also look beautiful. After we got all of the flower beds weeded we decided to put down a weed barrier so that we don't have to weed every 5 seconds. Those babies come back so fast! It doesn't look like we accomplished a lot but this project took most of the day and we are still not finished. It looks so much better then it did though. Not that I am tooting our own horn here (ok I am) but our yard is looking about a million times better then when we bought it. I will have to post a few pictures of when we first moved in to our humble abode. It has taken a long time but I love that we have made our little castle the way we want it. Someday when most of our projects are done, I want to make a coffee table book of before and after pictures of all of the things we've made our own. But that is a ways away. We've got quite a few projects left. :)
After our yard work was finished up, we headed to the back yard. We ventured over to the chicken coop to see if the chicks had laid any more eggs and Luke went and played over by the swing set. Now if you know Lukie, you know he likes to scream. a lot. So when he first started crying I didn't think anything was wrong besides he was frustrated at something. Then he took a deep breath in and did one of those "mouth open no sound coming out for a good 20 seconds before letting it wail" cries and I knew this one was different. Then I hear his sad little voice "bee! beeeeeeee! bee!" I felt so bad. And that stupid bee picked his eye brow of all places. It got nice and red and all swollen.
Nothing blankie, turtle and some chocolate milk can't fix.

8.23.12 school is cool, soccer

Yesterday was Linc's first day of school! He was really excited to go back and he liked saying his teachers name a lot because it's cool. Mrs. VanAusdoll.
I signed Linc up for soccer last week (on the last day that you could possibly do it cause I'm cool like that) and he LOVES it. His team name is the Dinosaurs. The first game was pretty funny to watch because none of the kids new what they were doing. Linc scored a goal for the other team and they were all excited. His second game Linc scored a goal for his team and played goalie for a bit. I was one proud momma. It was good, we all learned a few things. Linc learned how to score and that we wear our shin guards under our socks and I learned that I am one of those annoyingly loud mom's shouting encouragement from the side lines. I'm going to embrace it. Go DINOSAURS!

The birthday bash for Lukie

My wee one turned 2! All day he would say "my burday" and show everyone how old he was on his fingers. We started out the morning with blankie and turtle chill'n on the couch.
Then he had to go tell Gunner that it was his "burday" and give him a good morning kiss.
Then it was time for some birthday breakfast! Pankcakes were on the menu. The boys are great chef's.
Linc whisking away until it was nice and creamy.
After Lukie's nap we head to 7 peaks for a day of fun and that is just what it was. We of course had to snack on some dip'n dots because well they are dip'n dots and who doesn't love those babies.
After 7 peaks we had a few family members join us for some cake and ice cream and opening of the presents.
I sure love this little fire cracker! He is always keeping me on my toes. I think he started his terrible 2's the night before his birthday with the best fit I've ever seen. Bring it on baby, bring it on.

8.05.12 tomato, boys, deer creek {catch up}

Today was the day. The day that I got to eat one of these heavenly things...
(was that a big enough picture for you? can't you just taste it's juiciness?) I wait all year for them. One of life's greatest treasures are home grown tomatoes. Ours are not ripe yet so when Landon's dad showed up with some of these babies from his garden I almost peed my pants. I enjoyed a nice juicy tomato melt for lunch that was delectable. Any howser. Church was excellent today, it was filled with spiritual enlightenment and lifting of the soul. A perfect way to end my week. I got released from Nursery last week so this was my second week of being able to attend Sunday school and Relief Society. It was so great and very much needed. Yesterday when I got the boys out of the tub they looked so cute together with their matching wet hair dos sitting on the bed in their towels. How did my boys get to be so big?
Linc has been making up words lately. Yesterday when Landon and I were eating dinner and after he asked me for chocolate milk for the 80 billionth time. He said "mom. (big breath) when you don't get me chocolate milk then my brain will get fedicated." Well what ever fedicated is, it doesn't sound good.
DEER CREEK {catch up} When Hill and the kids were here we thought it would be fun to take the kids to Deer Creek to do a little photo shoot and let them play. We get all the way out there and I realize that I had forgotten my battery for my camera (winner!) so Heidi was so nice and drove all the way out there to bring me my battery. About 10 minutes after Heidi gets there it started getting windy and rainy so it kind of turned out to be a bust but at least the kids got to play for a little bit before it got too cold.
