12.29.30 Ugly sweaters and Christmas

The second post! A little more spaced out then I had planned but not too shabby. So this month has been crazy busy for us. About two weeks ago my friend Meagan and I did an ugly Christmas sweater party and it was sooo fun! We ate and played a few games. One where you put a cookie on your eye and then you have to move it to your mouth only using your face muscles. It was excellent and so funny to watch. Landon won for the ugliest sweater! His was pretty good I must say.

Landon's amazing sweater! You better believe it had lights on it.

The cookie game

Christmas was great! Christmas Eve we went to my mom's house as usual and opened presents and hung out for a bit. Then we headed home and put the boys to bed and Landon and I each opened a gift to each other then headed off to bed. In the morning we all hung out and played in bed for a while. Then we got up and opened presents. I was so excited for Landon to open his cause I got him a PS3 and I was so sneaky with it. He's been wanting one for a few years now so it was fun to get it for him. He is so cute, he get's so excited for Christmas. Two day's before Christmas he told me to "kiss him like it was 2 days before Christmas!" It was so funny how he said it...maybe you had to be there but it cracked me up. Anyway we opened our gifts, Landon got me a nice new camera bag and some sweaters and other cute stuff. We got Linc a bunch of toys and a new flash light. Linc is REALLY into flash lights right now. We didn't get too many things for Lukie since he enjoyed the wrapping paper more then anything. Then we went up to Landon's parents house and they got us a new stew pot, which we really needed and some cute things for the boys. They always get us bulk size items from Costco which I LOVE. I look forward to it every year. This year they gave us a big thing of toilet paper, laundry detergent and wipes. They are great! After that we went to my grandparents and open gifts. This year Michele and Kelly had our family and they made the cutest calendar for us and got Linc a tent with a tunnel on it and he loves it. It was fun hanging out with the fam. I'm pretty sure Dad was high on something which was frustrating but I'm glad he was there. I miss him so much sometimes, even when he is in the room. He's just not the same. So sad. After we hung out for a bit we headed over to Dan and Nancy's (Landon's aunt and uncle) for a lunch. It was delicious. Nancy is the best cook. Linc got a fever and started getting really ornery so we left kind of early. We came home and Linc took a long nap then we went to Landon's dad's house and exchanges gifts and played on the Wii. It was lots of fun and lots of running around. Next year I think we'll plan to not be so busy on Christmas day.

12.14. 2010 Time to get my journal on

Well it's time to get my journal on. To say that I am horrible at journal writing is an understatement but today I plan to turn a new leaf. I'm determined to keep a journal now that I have children, I think it's so important. So I guess I'll start off by explaining where we are in life right now. Landon and I have almost been married for 5 years in April (crazy!). They have been so great, I'm so glad that I married my best friend. We have 2 children, Lincoln and Luke and our dog's name is Gunner. Linc is 2 and a half, he will be 3 in Feb. Little Lukie is 4 months. They are both so freaking cute and I love them more then words can say. Right now we live in American Fork on the cozy King street. Landon is working for BCS and is also doing life insurance on the side. He just barely passed is test a few weeks ago and set up his first few appointments last night! We're excited to see where that takes us. I am currently working from home doing conference calls and doing some photography on the side and being a mommy! The last one is definitely my favorite. I love my boys so much!

Well we don't have too much going on today. Luke slept the whole night! Woo hoo! He woke up at 5:30 and I fed him then he went back to sleep until 7. He's getting so big. It kind of feels like time is going by faster with Luke then it did with Linc. He is starting to laugh and lets just say it is the most adorable thing. ever. I just put in Iron Giant for Linc. That is currently his favorite movie, that and watching old Donald Duck cartoons on youtube. Well I think that's pretty good for my first journal entry so I'll leave you with a few recent pics.

We've been potty training Linc for a while and he's been doing really well. The other day he fell asleep on the couch, I'm in the kitchen doing something and I hear him say "oh..okay okay" "I gatta go potty mommy" He just has his underwear on so he took them off and stood at the toilet. Then all the sudden in his tired voice he starts singing Jingle bells. It might be one of those "you had to be there" types of things but it was so funny. He's just standing there butt naked with his hair is all crazy and he's got a red patch on his face from where he was sleeping singing Jingle bells. Anyway I took a picture. I wish I would of had my video camera out.

This was just a picture I took yesterday and sometimes when he talks he pushes his lips out really far. Just a small detail that I love about my Linky.

Linc likes to help dad water our Christmas tree everyday.

Luke almost rolled over yesterday. He was so close! One of these days he'll be a rolling around like a crazy man. Oh and he's a drool factory. Look at his arm glistening in the light of the flash.

Well that's it for today. I'm going to try and post a few times a week so we'll see how that goes. :)

Mom signing out.
