3.20.11 cralwer, sweet spirits, sunshine, scrap, decision

Hello! I'm back. It's Sunday morning at 10:30. Luke and Daddy are napping (well Dad technically hasn't woken up yet...he's had a long week.) Poor Landino has been working his booty off this week so he's super tired. I think he should quite his job and become a clown cause he's a pretty cute one. Don't you think?

Linc's watching Bug's Bunny so I thought I'd get my journal on. Seems like a nice Sunday activity no? Lots to write about so let's get started then.
Luke started crawling! That crazy little man. Most of the time he does an army crawl scoot on his tummy to get around and then sometimes he'll get up on his hands and knees and then off he goes. So freaking cute. Linc was about 8 months when he started crawling but I think Luke see's Linc running around and just can't wait to join in. Some pictures of the Luke miester taken in the past few weeks.

So my BFF Meagan was over the other night and Linc came in the room and she just started talking about how sweet he is and that you can just tell that he has a sweet spirit. I thought that was so nice and so true. I've always felt that way about both of my boys but I'm their mother and I'm sure everyone feels that way about their children. I thought it was so great that she referred to him as a sweet spirit. Landon's patriarchal blessing talks about his children being sweet spirits. And they are so sweet. so special. so beautiful.

I just love this picture. It may not look like much but this is what are days are filled with. Playing on the floor together.

Linc's been having nightmares. He calls it a scrap. Whatever the scrap that is. I think it's some kind of bug. Two reason's why I think it's bugs. Reason #1) he FREAKS out every time he see's one. Like bloody murder someone is cutting off my arm screaming. We tried to go outside and play the other day and was outside a total of 5 minutes cause there were those annoying flying nats every where. He's gotten better the past few days because we are constantly telling him that bugs are NICE. Reason #2) A few weeks ago we watched King Kong at the in laws and there is a part where the people are getting attacked by enormous bugs. It's VERY creepy and I honestly don't know what I was thinking by letting him watch it. Poor thing wakes up screaming and then won't go to the left side of the bed and makes me keep a flash light on. He pretty much has to fall back asleep with me holding him. Luckily he hasn't had one of these dreams for a few nights. We keep telling him that the scrap is all gone and now he says that every time we go into our bedroom. "scraps gone. there's no scrap". Hopefully he won't have anymore. Cause that was just sad...and frustrating that we can't play outside without a meltdown.
OK onto more joyous stories. Luke LOVES the song "You are my Sunshine". If he is ever crying or I just want to see that incredibly cute smile of his I sing that song. So now if Luke ever starts crying Linc starts singing that song. Um hello cuteness. Like I mentioned before, he's such a sweet boy. The other day this sweet boy was examining my tongue with a flash light. So I thought it would be funny to gleek, very girlish I know. Not ON him but just BY him. I don't know what I was thinking...maybe that he thought it would be cool??

Anyway, so my cool gleeking doesn't go as planned. I gleek and I miss my target (the floor) by quite a distance and hit Linc right in the eyeball. I might as well of squirted him in the eyeball with a water gun. Ok so now I've spit in my son's eye you think I give him a hug and tell him I'm sorry. Mother of the year here can't stop laughing. I start doing what my good friends call "the old man wheeze." This goes on for a few minutes and I finally composed myself when Linc starts asking if I'm ok. So story in a nutshell. I spit in my son's eye and then laughed at him. Smooth.

Yesterday we headed down to the chicken coops to pick up a desk we bought off KSL that we are going to refinish. We rode the four wheelers around for a bit.

These are just some pics of Linc and I one morning.
Got protein shake?

Well that's about it for now. Peace out.
